About Me
Hi, I’m Andrea, a full stack software engineer based in Rome and the creator of aPolite Dev.
I’m currently balancing two parallel journeys: working as a developer and pursuing a computer science degree. Most of my experience so far has been web-focused, but I’m always eager to expand my skills, explore new technologies, and deepen my understanding of the ideas behind the tools we use.
Curiosity has shaped my path.I’m fascinated not just by how we build software, but by why we build it the way we do. Over time, I’ve worked on a variety of web projects, experimented with different stacks, and developed an interest in both the technical side of engineering and the human side, the choices we make, the paths we follow, and the growth we experience along the way.
My long-term goal is to contribute to something meaningful: work that impacts human lives. But above all, I want to continue evolving as a well-rounded developer and as a person.

aPolite About
aPolite Dev is my quiet corner of the internet. It’s not a tutorial site or a collection of hot takes. It’s a place where I write to understand: to unpack ideas, explore questions, and document what I’m learning along the way.
Here’s what you’ll find on the blog:
- Journey to Google: Notes from the road. Reflections on university vs work, vertical vs horizontal growth, consulting vs product, and what it means to aim for big goals.
- Introspective & Retrospective: Dreams, biases, and the stories we tell ourselves as developers.
- A Polite Day: Fragments from daily life in tech, and the thoughts they spark.
- Updates from the World: World events and trends, seen through the eyes of a developer.
- A Polite Explanation: When I need to learn something, I write it out, from academic topics to tech concepts.
These are just some of the directions the blog might take. At its heart, aPolite Dev is a space to think out loud, share my journey, and invite others along for the ride.
Thanks for stopping by, I’m glad you’re here. Feel free to explore the posts, check out my projects, or reach out if you want to connect. I’d love to hear from fellow developers, learners, or anyone curious about the path I’m on.
